Ean (Barcode) number is old and now not recognised

Some of my products are now listing well with Ebay.  There are some products where the EAN has expired and I receive the ' The EAN field is missing ' I can therefore not list the product.  Is there a way of listing these products?

If you don't have an up-to-date barcode for your products, you can purchase blocks of barcodes for use in ebay listings.

Search online for buy EAN, or similar.
