Ebay Order Confirmation Email getting sent without settings set

Recommended Posts

Hello,

today I upgraded to Magento 2.2.5 and and also updated all my extensions / modules to the latest version.
Since then when a ebay customer orders something, Magento is sending out order confirmations to said customer.

I do not have "create a new user" enabled so it shouldnt send out these emails or?
When sending out the order confirmation for ebay orders it is also not using the correct email account I set up for orders. It is using the "www.-data" user www-data@example.de.

How can I fix this ?

Yes I found out that the mail sending is coming from magento itself. Is there any option to disable mail sending for orders that have been created from ebay ? @primavera

Hello,

It is possible to disable the automatic Invoice creation for Magento Orders created for imported eBay Amazon Orders.

To do so, you should navigate to the Account settings > Orders tab > Order Status Mapping box and untick the corresponding option:

Firstly, the sending of emails with the from address not set, or set to your account, e.g www-data@ is a bug in Magento. It is due to be fixed in the next release. There are fixes available on github.

With regard to your issue concerning the emails being sent, I too had this happening recently. Ive been running my store for over a year now and it has never happened but totally randomly (or more probably related to something else I was tweaking) Magento started sending customers confirmation emails when the order was dragged down from ebay into Magento. And then after a couple of days, it stopped doing it and has never done it since.

I have, and always have had auto invoice turned on.

I've never got to the bottom of why it started, and why it stopped.
